UEDA

The Utility Economic Development Association, Inc.
(UEDA) is a non-profit association of investor owned
electric and gas utility economic development
professionals and allies in the United States and
Canada. It is composed of leading economic development
professionals dedicated to addressing the unique needs
of their profession and their regions. To this end the
UEDA provides customized training and networking
opportunities that help members achieve their individual
goals in today’s dynamic electric and gas utility
industry.
Our utility members know economic development as well as
their service areas. They can expedite the site
selection process with information and hands-on
assistance which helps meet tight deadlines by providing
timely accurate data. Areas such as electric and gas
rates, regional locations and sites, available
properties, service area infrastructure, demographics,
labor, taxes, incentives.
Each year the UEDA:

Creates semi-annual networking and
educational forums

Conducts advanced economic development
education courses

Conducts economic development research

Disseminates specialized utility
economic development information

Serves as a
conduit to members for site selectors.
MEMBERSHIP

Active Members: Investor-owned utilities and energy
companies involved in activities that improve the economic
vitality of their service areas.

Associate Members: Organizations other than
investor-owned utilities and energy companies that are
involved in economic development activities (e.g., trade
allies, trade journals, consultants, etc.).
