	Information & Networking Forums At our UEDA Winter and Summer Forums you will benefit from timely information and presentations from experts and your peers. These events provide insight into critical issues that impact investor owned utilities and their economic development efforts. They also shed light on site selection trends, the economy of the nation and where we are all headed. UEDA Forums are designed to facilitate an open exchange of ideas and experiences though question-and-answer sessions and “best practices” discussions focusing on current events and future trends in areas such as energy efficiency, the growth of renewables, electric vehicles and other important areas of today’s dynamic economic development environment. These unique events also provide a perfect platform to network with your peers and other professionals involved in economic development.
	Advanced Executive Education As a UEDA member, you as well as your corporate colleagues and regional economic development allies will receive priority registration for our immensely valuable and highly acclaimed economic development executive education courses. They are conducted in conjunction with Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, which is nationally recognized as one of the best business schools in America. These informative advanced education courses are designed specifically to hone professional economic development and management skills and improve the ability of participants to successfully deal with critical economic development issues common to all regions, activities and business relationships.
	UEDA Webinars Webinars scheduled between UEDA Forums and Executive Education courses are designed to bridge the gap between major educational events by providing in-depth information on timely topics of interest to UEDA members. These webinars are very lowpriced based on an individual connection - not number of participants. So, UEDA members have the to opportunity to invite as many colleagues and regional allies as they wish to take part in these webinars - all at no additional charge. .
	Nationwide Networking Through UEDA Forums and other educational events you will meet other utility economic development professionals and site selectors from across the country and Canada, including associates from the economic development sector at large. Contacts made at anchor UEDA events such as our bi-annual Forums and Executive Education courses will expand your professional contact network, help hone your professional skills and broaden your reach in the national economic development community.
	Surveys and Reports You can conduct “5-Minute Zoom” Zoomerang® surveys of the UEDA membership on any topic of interest to you and/or your company and obtain information from other utilities. You can also access results of other member “5-Minute Zoom” Zoomerang® surveys that can give you insight into their areas of interest. Additionally, the UEDA conducts its own Zoomerang® member surveys in order to benchmark and profile utility economic development operations and activities across the nation. The results of these studies, surveys, and polls are highly valuable to members, since they highlight trends and provide indepth understanding of economic development operations across the country. Study results are published and made available to UEDA members at a nominal cost.
	LinkedIN Group Connections As a UEDA member you can join a UEDA LinkedIn group that will allow you to be in direct contact with active other UEDA members in real-time. This group will enable you to quickly and easily get answers to question, promote regional events, electronically network, post articles and engage in dialogues about any issue of interest. Since the UEDA LinkedIn group is exclusive to members, it offers you a unique opportunity to interact with other professionals in your field.
	Member E-Mail Contacts Through the UEDA, you can e-mail the entire membership and/or communicate with any member or group of members you like at anytime. Working with the UEDA staff you can coordinate your message and they will send “e-mail blasts” out on your behalf.
	Promote Properties You can spread the word about available buildings and sites in your service area by using the “Site Location” section of the UEDA website. Adding a real estate link to your member listing will allow anyone searching for facilities or sites to connect with you and view your properties. This added information outlet will help promote your properties.
	News Outlet In addition to distributing economic development related news releases news through the UEDA LinkedIn group, you can expand exposure through postings in the “News” section of our UEDA website. Since the UEDA is a source of economic development information for business and trade publications, your news items can be readily available for pick-up.
	Media Referrals When reporters contact the UEDA for information, you as well as your colleagues and your company can gain exposure. By referring reporters to you and/or other appropriate persons you designate as expert spokespersons, you can gain press coverage. Areas of inquiry include: current economic development trends, utility issues (i.e. energy efficiency and renewable energy), and/or regional economic development issues.
	Hot Links Your contact information is posted on our UEDA website with a link to your Internet site. So, you automatically have a hot link to those persons interested in your company and economic development activities. This feature gives your company exposure to a wider audience by facilitating visits to your website by interested parties.

Network Through UEDA Committees By joining a committee and taking an active part in the association, you will get to know other UEDA members and be able to make a positive difference to the organization. Participation in UEDA committees does not require much time, but it will add interest and depth to your membership. Standing UEDA committees are: Executive Education, Marketing, Member Relations, Member Services, Nominating, Program Development, and Sponsorship.
